MAC haul

I went to Westfield shopping centre in London the other day and was dying to go into the M.A.C cosmetics store as I hadn't actually been in one before. I was browsing around by the blushes determined to get another one and was also interested in trying out one of their many foundations when one of the make-up artists offered me her help. I tried these two on. I liked them. I brought them.

  • Mineralize moisture SPF 15 foundation: NC15 - 'A combination of powders create an optical blurring effect that virtually diminishes imperfections and fine lines, for a more even tone'.

  • Powder blush/refill pan: Springsheen (golden tawny peach) - 'Highly pigmented, long-lasting powder'.

Rimmel - 60 seconds nail polish

Heey guys! I thought I would do a little review on some of the new nails polishes that I recently picked up from boots.

Left to right:
rose libertine, too cool to tango, round and round the garden, blue eyed girl

These £3.65 nail polishes are great for building up your collection if you are like me and aren't particularly gifted at painting your nails and can’t justify a lot of money on them. They apply evenly with a flat brush and have a nice consistency making them easier to apply and if you are in a rush with one coat the colour will still be strong. I'm not entirely sure that they dry in 60 seconds but compared to my Barry M and Essie nail polishes they seem to dry within seconds. They also seem to last around the one week mark with minimal chipping however I normally get bored of the same colour so tend to change it up a lot therefore I haven’t been able to fully put them to the test to give you an exact answer.

‘Rose libertine’ and ‘too cool to tango’ are the perfect spring/summer rose pink and baby blue for me.

However ‘round and round the garden’ and ‘blue eyed girl’ will also be used a lot this summer when I fancy straying away from the normal pink and blue pastel colour choices.

Benefit Beauties

Heey guys! I've recently purchased a couple of face products from benefit so I thought I would share my opinions on them with you now that I have been able to put them to the test :)
Benefit - Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Foundation
Benefit - Fake Up Concealer

Now the foundation is a little bit steep in pricing...£25.50 and as it was my first high end foundation I was a little bit nervous to see how differently it would perform compared to my drug store foundations. I got matched up to Ivory "I'm pure 4 sure" and the colour matches my skin at the moment but will definitely need to go darker after my summer holidays. The coverage is light to medium which I personally don't normally drift to but...I LOVE IT it evens out your complexion yet feels extremely light on your skin which allows your skin to breathe  hence the 'Oxygen Wow'

Benefit Oxygen Wow - Ivory "I'm pure 4 sure"
£25.50

Again this was the most that I had ever paid for a concealer but yet again it hasn't let me down! I personally use this concealer under the eyes to cover and brighten my under eyes - I'm in the shade 01 light. It is nice and moisturising so would be great for dry skin but for combination skin types like me it still works perfectly and like the foundations it lasts all day with a light dusting of pressed power and makes a perfect base for the rest of your makeup!
Benefit Fake Up - 01 Light
£18.50
