Healthy leg glow

I'm not one to fake tan regularly, however every now and then I want my natural skin tone to be enhanced with no commitments and hassle. These two Garnier products get the job done in no time for me.

  • Summerbody moisturising lotion £5.36 (they have changed packaging) - This light lotion gradually builds a tan after consecutive use. It absorbs into the skin quickly *bonus!*, smells like apricot and keeps your skin nourished.
  • Ambre solair dry body mist £11.69 - This product has a very light spray which evenly covers your skin and dries almost instantly. This means no waiting around naked and no transfer onto your clothes. It does smell a little like fake tan however the sent quickly fades.

I have found the results to be very natural and haven't had any mishaps, the great thing is it is very buildable depending on how tanned you wish to be.

Current mascaras #2

So I've had my blog for a year... time has flown by and I know I have been very inconsistent with my posting (I blame A levels). However today I want to do an updated post that I did in August all about my current mascaras.

In-between my last post and this one I have used different mascaras however I never thought to post about them, so please don't worry I haven't had these ones open for months on end.

Maybelline, Covergirl, Estee Lauder

  • Maybelline: Great Lash £4.99 - this is a great everyday mascara for those who are after a natural definition to the eyes. The formula/ small brush separates lashes and adds some length to them. However I personally prefer more volume, even on an everyday basis.

  • Covergirl: Clump crusher $7.99 - The slight curve to the wand helps to open your eyes without the need to curl your lashes before hand. This gives the perfect amount of volume and length and also allows you to layer without any clumping going on. Once this runs out I'll have to try the Max Factor version of it.

  • Estee Lauder: Sumptuous extreme £22 - The brush may seem a little scary but in one light coat your lashes will already be thick and almost false lash like (in a good way). However once this sample runs out I won't be purchasing as I think the drugstore offers other excellent mascaras at a cheaper price.

    Review: Smashbox full exposure palette

Hi everyone, so the Smashbox Full Exposure palette has been out for a few months now so I thought that I would do a quick mini review.

The palette contains 14 neutral shades, 7 shimmery (or glittery if you wish) and 7 matte. It also includes a mixture of warm and cool tones to give you tons of different looks with one palette. This palette doesn't have the best pigmentation however the matte shades are still really smooth and easy to blend and not the slightest bit chalky. As for shimmer shades, (which some people have not been impressed with) I just dampen my brush - a flat sided one to pack on the colour and minimise fallout. This makes the shimmer shades more metallic and vibrant, if you have MAC fix plus use that.

The palette is £36 and comes with eye charts with 3 different looks for each eye shape. A sample size Full Exposure mascara is also included which is normally £18, this mascara is meant to be voluminising however I haven't put this to the test. At my local counter they also gave me a free sample of the Photo Finish primer which is normally £25.

Overall I believe this is a lovely palette to build up your collection and would also be great for beginners. The packaging is a flip top with a magnetic closure and holds a large mirror.
